Alumnus John Doles Loved Reunions. Now They Are His Legacy.

John H. Doles III ’65 lived on campus for all four years of his time at the Case Institute of Technology. While earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, he formed strong connections with his classmates.

As he pursued a career at AT&T, Doles came back to campus as often as he could for class reunions, to catch up with his “Case brothers.”

Doles died in early 2021, and soon after the Case Alumni Foundation learned it was the beneficiary of his IRA—worth nearly $600,000. To honor his legacy, the foundation has created the John H. Doles III ’65 Endowment Fund, which will help to support events that bring alumni together and promote fellowship—with a special focus on Homecoming and affinity reunions.

The gift from Doles, a lover of reunions, will help Case alumni come together for generations to come.
